This is a video in which Global Kids youth discuss a two-month video project reflecting on COVID-19, social distancing, and quarantine, and effects on their community.

The video diaries captures what you are feeling in the moment. When we get past the pandemic you will be able to look back and say that you have Triumphed. You will remember the innovative ways you and your friends learned to communicate with one another and how you all were able to continue to attend schools from your homes. I enjoyed hearing the stories about how you feel about staying at home, and ways you keep positive.
Talking about your feelings can be cathartic and healing. I'm glad the kids felt comfortable enough to share their thoughts about the COVID-19 pandemic and related quarantine through video. It would be great if they can expand this project further in the future.
Wonderful job putting together all of this footage. I though the format of having the animated title slides to let the view know what the question each student was answering was very helpful and I liked that they were grouped together as such. Interesting how it seems technology was both helpful for keeping everyone connected, but also there were comments that it was frustrating as it was the only way everyone could be connected. It felt like everyone had mixed feelings about it, I am the same way too. Thank goodness we have it, but also it would be so much better to see everyone in person!
Most people do not realize how difficult it is to curate such diverse stories from young people coming from different backgrounds. So congratulations on putting this together. I love how everyone is able to share their thoughts in a safe space - it is so important to do that. I think what I would also like to see are a few lower-thirds to help with some of the titling and date marks. This way when people are watching this in the future, they can figure out the timeline :) Amazing work!
This project will serve as a great time capsule of the thoughts and feelings of young people during this time, which I think will be really important and impactful!
I love seeing so many diverse viewpoints in one place! It's a great idea to get a lot of people to talk about their personal experiences and sshare with everyone else. I wonder how much more powerful it would be if you edited them so that similar themes were together? Then I could really compare and contrast the experiences of your interviewees. Nicely done!
