The issue my project addresses is that smoking a very harmful to people as well as the environment. Many people die from nicotine products and are at risk if they start smoking at a young age. I created this game to teach people that the smoking products have nicotine, which is a very dangerous chemical. I came up with my idea by thinking about what was very harmful to the environment and create a game out of it. Smoking was a huge problem since I have seen other kids at school (before schools closed) vaping in school bathrooms. It has evolved by finding ways to code some important aspects into the game. This game was remixed as I had to change many different sprites and instead of a countdown, I inputted information about the dangers of smoking. My project works by forming the code that is relevant to the rules of the game. It also helps people understand that smoking is a real threat to society as it can also kill the non-smokers when they are near people smoking because they can breathe in the chemical.

As a professional graphic designer for 6+ years, I felt the visuals you created to teach me about e-cigarattes, statistics around drug use, and cigarette amounts in landfills were fantastically done! Within graphic design, our goal is always to take a problem someone has and help communicate it in a new way (oftentimes visual) to our audience – and you've done exactly that! If you haven't already thought of a career in graphic design, it might be a good path for you :D Keep on creating!!
Dear Linda, Great job! Even I learned some facts about smoking that I did not know before. This game is challenging, fun, and enlightening. The intro at the start of the game was eye opening and the choice of music was great as well. Once again great job Linda!

Hey Lidia, Thanks for putting out your game to Emoti-con! I found your story about vaping in the bathroom eye opening. I also enjoyed playing your game. It was both challenging but not too frustrating. I played it so much that I think I got past the point where obstacles appeared! One thing I would like to see in the next iteration of the game is for the obstacles to continue appearing until the player dies - something like a while block. I appreciate how you used a base game, and modified it enough to create quite a different experience. If you are into this sort of thing I'd recommend looking into the Touhou project as inspiration for future obstacle dodging games. -Charlie
