A informational website about the United State's cultural icon - Rosie the Riveter. The project aimed to inform people about what Rosie the Riveter represents and the importance of it in United States History. What began as some paragraphs on a google document grew into interactive and working website. After ideas from my instructor Lena, I was able to decide on how I wanted my website to look and what should go on there.
You can see and explore the website in the link given above.
Emoti-Con 2020 has ended and leaving new reactions is now off.
Great project overall. I would love to learn more about how you came to choose Rosie the Riveter as your topic and what your process was. This said, your research is clear and your efforts produce a nicely crafted website is excellent. As someone who codes websites I was excited to see your content organization, use of header tags (H1, H2, H3), sourcing your content, and creating a responsive/mobile adaptive design. You have an excellent foundation to continue to grow from when building websites if you choose to.
Isn't it fun when you can create a project around your passion? I enjoyed learning so much about Rosie that I never knew. One of my most memorable assignments was a website I made for Ela Bhatt who founded the Self-Employed Women's Association of India (SEWA). That project was way too long ago and I still remember! Hope you remember this great project as long as I did! Nice work!
Great display of an interesting icon in history! Would love to see this expanded to present day applications, or possible ways to interact with the information.
Project is informative and clearly communicates its perspective.
This is a good resource for people who want to know about Rosie the Riveter but there are already so many sites about this subject including - https://rosietheriveter.net which is the official museum site. I think that this project would be more valuable if it uncovered information that was not already publicly available or compared it closer to what is happening today with the defense production act during the Covid 19 pandemic.
