Our project was designed to show players how important the human/animal bond really is. Since we all have pets, our group decided on this topic and found it was easier for us to research being we had prior knowledge on the topic. We found that therapy pets are very important for those with a variety of mental illnesses or those that need guide dogs like the blind. So we demonstrated how attached a dog is to it's owner by it being in a platformer type game to try and find his/her owner. This demonstrates the bond that the pet and the owner shares.
We designed a slide show presentation showing our research and planning process. We have also included a link to our Scratch game.
Emoti-Con 2020 has ended and leaving new reactions is now off.
As an animal lover and owner I know the strong bond that is formed! You did a lot of research and it shows, you displayed a strong presentation of your findings and also explaining the 3 main jobs. What might be cool to add on is a version of the game that helps animals up for adoption to find their furever home! The graphics are fun and energetic and a good tone for the type of game you designed. I hope you continue on further with the development!
Therapy/ emotional support/service dog to the rescue! I liked playing this platform navigation game and thought it was a cute way to show the close bond between humans and pets. Having a wizard-looking person in the game was just magical, too.
I loved playing the game! The graphics and the controls were very nice. Especially liked how fluid the game was. Perhaps consider adding a sound effect every time we lose life! I plan to play again as I want to see how far I can go. If I was the team behind this game, I will keep building it even further! keep up the great work.
The presentation for this game was really well thought out and the message is really clear. The design of the game was really nice and it was both easy and fun the play!
What a cool idea! I really like your teaching moments at the beginning of your game. I think I reached a bug and got stuck when trying to pass the level, but I liked what I was able to play - moving while jumping is tough, and you did a great job designing tough but beatable obstacles.
I like this project because it is fun and shows how important animals are.
I think this is really cute! It makes me appreciate my dog.
