To combat COVID-19, we have been told to โstay insideโ. But, in order for us to have food, to move around the city, get our mail, have our city be clean and safe, and to be taken care of when we get sick, there needs to be brave workers out there. They are putting their lives on the line for us and they are HEROES. These portraits honor health care workers and everyday heroes like MTA workers.
Emoti-Con 2020 has ended and leaving new reactions is now off.
Hi, Jessilee and Karen! I absolutely love the portraits youโve drawn and how colorful they are. Whenever weโre creating a new project, itโs so important to consider social good and how we can make sure the project is making a positive impact. At Fullstack Academy, we believe in the power of tech and how it can really change communities and economies. Iโm excited to see where this project takes you!
Very nice drawing. To honor the real heroes in this state of emergency is commendable! I would love to see more portraits and the stories behind the people portrait; maybe doing a series of interviews with these heroes will give you more tangible information about who they are, what they are going through, and why we need to stay inside to help them out.
I really love how you are using your creativity to combat something so big happening in the world right now! I wanted to let you know that art is a very important way in which we have talked back to the world for a very long time. I want to encourage you to continue making more work like this. Jump onto google and find some stories of heroes that you admire right now -- they can be people in your family or in the community that are in the front lines doing work and continue doing these portraits. Mail it to them! See if you can get some friends to also make portraits or other art pieces and organize a group to mail it out! What you are doing is amazing and you should keep going at it! Thank you!
Great drawings!
Great way to give back to the heroes of this pandemic. Great work!
I love this work because it is about how to cover ourselves and protect our family or friend.
Love the way you highlighted different healthcare workers that have been keeping us all safe! We need to celebrate our heroes.
I think this is really beautiful! Well done!
