COVID-19 has tested all of us. Stuck inside, it's hard to keep positive. But sometimes, channeling all that bad energy into creativity can build your spirits. Here are some poems from Island School students on the Lower East Side. They speak of the struggles and the hope deep in their hearts.
Emoti-Con 2020 has ended and leaving new reactions is now off.
I really enjoyed viewing this project. Each poem put words to the emotions that I have been feeling. You have inspired me to write my own Pandemic Poetry. Thank you!
These are wonderful poems. Thoughtful, timely, and creative. Very nice.
What stands out to me about this project is how it serves as an example of how one could emotionally process the global pandemic we're in. I implore you to brainstorm on how to take this project further! Is it a book of collected poems? Does it help people write their own poems? Something else?
Beautiful Collection of Poems. It was relatable and uplifting.
Thank you for addressing the important social and emotional need to have an outlet to process thoughts and feelings! I wonder if there would be a way to design something to allow sharing of poems, opening it up for others to read and submit poems? I could imagine many people would benefit from taking this project even further. Well done!
This project attempts to address a social need. Project is somewhat playful and/or artistic.
This project is very important right now. This helps people who are feeling the same exact way see that they are not alone. I personally understand these articles and can connect to them. I really love this project and think it is very interesting.
