When asked about the challenge this project addressed, students said...
Due to the pandemic that world is going through today we decided to our project on COVID -19, the issues that we are investigating are:
Mental Health, Vaccines, Masks, how virus is spread, vaccines.
They said that their process was that they…
1) Asked questions relating to COVID- 19, and then selected a specific one
2) Looked for reliable resources about our topic.
3) Planned how to do the scratch project on paper
4) Shared an important message on Scratch about COVID-19 in Spanish and English.
When asked about what audience they picked for this project students said…
The Bilingual Community (Spanish and English) so more people will understand
Emoti-Con 2020 has ended and leaving new reactions is now off.
I enjoyed the detail that was added to each project! They were super fun to interact with. I especially liked that they were in Spanish and English. This is a great way to share information! I would love to learn more about the challenges you faced while designing this project and how you worked together to design iterations.
This project hits so many great things here. First, I'm glad you decided what about COVID you specifically wanted to focus on and what critical information should be communicated. This project is also great in how accessible it is, both that it's bilingual and that it uses text-to-speech, so hard of hearing or deaf users can still receive the information. I like how you have different solutions to the Scratch code, it'd be nice for you to compare each others code and even maybe combine it into one big Scratch program! This is the same way I code all of my programs: break it into pieces and then figure out how to combine them toghether.
Clear and accurate information is SO important right now, and I love how you were able to deliver that in an interesting way through animation and virtual story telling.
Project is informative and clearly communicates its perspective. This project attempts to address a social need.
Very nice job detailing your thought and design process -- how you did research and figured out what need/problem you wanted to address is great. When building interactive websites I often have to shape a solution thinking about how to use technology and design to address a need/issue. Your use of Scratch to share information as a dialog between characters is a great solution and an effective way to share the important information you researched.
I liked his projects because he gave a lot of information
I like all the project and great work student.
I like that it is in two languages, and the topic is relevant. If you had a chance to re do the project what would you do differently?
Very informative and it looks great!
