Our Project addresses the need for a Turntable for Dj’s with limited hand dexterity, like our volunteer Alex. It’s very difficult for Alex to use a normal DJ table so we came up with a single turntable and a pedal with all the components he needs in order to be able to use his DJ setup with one hand.
The pedal Would help with changing the music tracks. Neutral position for track 1, halfway press to merge the tracks and full press down for track 2. The turntable would be formatted so that it can be operated with one hand.

Your human centered approach to design thinking is. wonderful example for all design thinkers! I think the solution you designed provides an innovative solution to the problem you identified. The slide deck is well designed and easy to understand! I would love to know more about the different expertise each member used to help design this collaboratively.
This is a thoroughly impressive project! Not only is it an innovative idea, it's also clear that your team was dedicated to the design process. You found a user, understood what the problem was, and then took an iterative approach to coming up with a solution. An easy was to impress me as a someone who went to design school and now designs professionally is a paper prototype!! The first time, I didn't want to do it because I wanted to build the real thing, but I quickly found out how useful it is to communicate the idea to other people, and to discover fixes before I invest a lot of time to the final product. I hope you all take paper prototyping with you throughout your work!! Funny enough, my last project also dealt with turntables too! If youre interested in building this you might wanna look into things like MIDI, or OSC, but also things like Arduinos and potentiometers.
WOW! Blown away by this project. I love that you clearly put in the work to get to know the interests and abilities of the individual you were designing for and created something that could really make a difference in not only his life, but the lives of many others who might have similar interests and abilities. You all did a fantastic job, and I hope to see this design become a reality!

What a fantastic idea! Your presentation does a wonderful job of detailing the problem you are trying to solve and your process to ultimately design a solution. Visually your presentation is well done. How you tell a story and present a solution matters in the work I do and I applaud you for making an effort to create an engaging slideshow to complement your thoughtful solution.

I think this is such a cool idea and would be fun for all DJs to use regardless of their ability! Very nice work!
This is really innovative; it makes me think that DJ's can use their whole bodies really- by adding the foot pedal, you are moving us on that direction- but are there other elements or parts of the body that can be involved as well?
