Using Twine, explore the migration crisis that has taken place in Venezuela this past year. While creating this game, students asked "Can we tell someone else's story without their input fairly?" After looking at articles about why people are leaving Venezuela, students collaborated on a story about a family attempting to migrate in search of a better opportunities.

This is a thoughtful and impressive project. It begins to show the audience the overwhelming choices migrants must make. I'm excited to see further iterations that may fully explore the migration process in an interactive way. Twine is also a great fit of technology for this purpose! When I was interning as a creative tech at a museum design firm, we used Twine on the engineering team to help museum-goers understand decision making just like you.
The message was powerful. The adventure component made it really impactful. I was able to put myself in the shoes of a person from Venezuela to make the difficult decision to make the Journey to the United States.
This was a great way to get users to understand lived experiences of other, such an important need in our society. You put a great deal of effort into this project, and it shows! I hit a few dead ends but learned a lot. Thank you for sharing.
Well done on this powerful project! Being confronted with having to make the difficult decisions that thousands of refugees are making regularly was truly impactful. The only suggestion to push this further, is for every dead end, to provide further information (possibly in the form of facts and statistics) as to what made that path unsuccessful. Bravo on this thoughtful and well executed piece!
Very impressive effort. Your presentation showcasing your research and process is very clear, thoughtful, and polished. Your project is very well crafted overall. The minimal design of the prototype allowing the user to focus on the story is effective.
Amazing pitch! Compelling storytelling, easy to understand project demo, clear connection between visual & verbal presentation. Project reframes issues, interactions, or experiences in a way that enlightens the audience.
Wow, you really made me think about this! Gracias y felicidades! Great job!
I am very impressed- this is a really challenging topic and your team treated the issue with a lot of respect and care. It is well written, and gives the player a sense of the kinds of decisions people migrating from Venezuela might have to make. Great work!
