I have noticed in New York and various other cities in the country that people refuse to wear their mask. As a result, people get into escalated confrontations with law enforcement such as police. The hologram mask seeks to encourage people to wear their masks, protect themselves and their loved ones. And in that process, stop the spread of the coronavirus. The features that are built-in into the mask make wearing a mask fun but also something people can technologically engage with while saving lives.
It started in my economics where we were asked to think of a product that we can sell. During these times of social distancing and quarantine, I thought that product would be a mask. But then I thought people would want to buy masks more if they would have a hologram where they could play games, listen to music etc…
The mask would be made from a fabric/cloth (still need to decide what design & type of cloth it will be) and the hologram would be built into it. The strap that goes under the ear would have a speaker and the mic would be built-in near the mouth area of the mask.

This is a compelling idea. I appreciate how this product approaches how we can improve face masks. If we can convince people to wear masks properly for longer, it can help public health efforts.
Such a unique and creative idea. By adding visuals and sound features to the mask people would definitely be more inclined to use their masks. One thing to keep in mind though is if the masks have a visual element that lets you play games and such, this could be dangerous when the user is walking. People do not pay attention as is and if you add something even more distracting, this could do more help than harm. Overall though I am so happy you came up with an idea like this. Your presentation even had more information on holograms which I found to be really helpful.
I like this idea a lot! It promotes others to wear a mask for the safety of themselves and others which is very important during the pandemic. I could imagine myself using the hologram feature in my mask to answer my phone in the grocery store, better yet, I can look at my grocery list! Furthermore I can see this expanding and being used in the hospitals when doctors are treating or operating on patients.
This was such an innovative idea, to make masks attractive to wearers and help keep others safe. I love your passion for creating new ways to slow down the spread of COVID 19 through innovation and persuasion.
I think this idea is really inovative and creative. You took something so simple and annoying to many people and made it high tech and fun. You not only created a device that is essential in the world right now but also made different and unique. You explained how it would different from other masks and really set yourself apart. If I were to have one these masks I would not complain to my parents about wearing one. It would be very useful and pass time while walking.
Alot of people don't end up wearing their masks because they don't think they get any advantages from doing so. This mask provides direct advantages, not just protection from the virus but also fun things like music and phone like attributes. So, this is an amazing idea.
